Blue Blenny was born from the belief that the best learning happens when you're having fun. Through small-group expeditions that blend scuba diving, fish-focused marine life education, and nature journaling, we create immersive experiences for ocean enthusiasts who want to explore and understand the underwater world.
Whether you've logged thousands of dives or you're newly certified, Blue Blenny is for the curious. We're excited to help you rediscover your sense of adventure and experience the ocean in a more meaningful way.
More than meets the eye

The name 'Blue Blenny' was inspired by our founders' favorite marine critters: blennies! You may be wondering, “what is a blenny?” These small marine fish are found worldwide in both tropical and temperate waters, often hiding in crevices, holes, or empty barnacles. Some species are more noticeable than others, but because of their small size and cryptic nature, they’re easily overlooked - even though they’re actually quite abundant! Each species has its own unique behaviors and flair, making them very enjoyable to observe. Seeking out tiny, hard-to-find fish like blennies is our specialty. Blennies show us that beneath the surface, there is often “more than meets the eye" and we believe that the real fun begins when you start discovering things you didn’t even know existed.

The ocean covers around 70% of Earth, produces more than half of our breathable air and regulates our climate. Whether you live in a coastal area or not, the ocean is an essential part of all of our lives. It is estimated that over 90% of the species living in the ocean are yet to be discovered, which means that there is so much more to learn, see, and protect. Every trip is an opportunity to connect with something bigger than ourselves, while developing a deeper appreciation for our planet. At Blue Blenny, the ocean is our way of life; it's part of who we are and we're eager to share it with you.

Curiosity is at the heart of everything we do. It is the desire to explore, learn, and understand. As we age, curiosity becomes less natural; it’s easy to let the concepts of fun, play, and wonder become things of the past. Between the fast pace of society and the ease at which modern technology allows us to access information, curiosity is becoming a forgotten mindset. Blue Blenny's mission is to build a collection of small group expedition experiences designed for people curious about the ocean. Think ocean summer camp for adults: spend your days exploring the reef, exchanging discoveries, and finding joy in noticing the little things. Our trips will feel like a breath of fresh (salty) air with scuba diving, nature journaling, and shared adventures with new friends.
